A Mother's Haven offers an array of classes for both before and after your baby arrives. We know that pregnancy and the first year of your baby's life can be confusing and overwhelming - we're here to help!
Our Prenatal Classes answer a wide variety of questions about and will help to educate you about the physical and emotional aspects of pregnancy, birth, and becoming a parent. Our goal is to prepare new parents for the life changes that pregnancy, birth, and new parenthood bring. We offer a 4-week birthing class as well as one-day intensive on childbirth. We also have workshops to learn about breastfeeding, caring for your new baby, and infant CPR & first aid. We also have ongoing prenatal yoga classes.
Our New Parent Classes are offered to answer the many questions and concerns you have as a new parent, and to enhance your confidence and trust in yourself in your new role as parent. Our Mothers' Gatherings (Mommy&Me) groups are a wonderful way to get the education, support, and friendship you need for the first year of your baby's life.
Our Prenatal Yoga and Baby&Me Yoga classes provide a way to relax and either prepare your body for birth or help it to recover from it.
Our Early Childhood Enrichment classes (Kindermusik, Tiny Dancer, and Sign Language for Babies) stimulate your baby's growth in all areas of development as well as deepen the bond and communication you and your baby share.
Check out our class calendar to find out when all of our prenatal and mommy&me classes are held.
To enhance your experience and learning, our staff are experts in their fields and our class sizes are limited to provide personalized attention in an intimate setting of support, trust, and fun.
We also offer workshops as well as one-to-one consultations for Breastfeeding/Lactation, PostPartum Depression, and Baby Sleep Issues. Informal Developmental Assessments are available for parents with concerns about their child's development.
TESTIMONIALS
"I first started attending the Mother's Gathering classes when my daughter was 6 weeks old. This was the single most important thing I did as a first time mom. This class was a supportive and safe place to go each week and hear about other women going through exactly what I was going through. I learned so much from my Mother's Gathering instructor, and she is still a very important part of my life 4 years later. I also met the most amazing women in that class. We have remained close for 4 years. We travel together, have Girl's Night Out together, support each other, and our children love each other.
Now I am attending the Second Time Mother's Gathering. At first, I thought it would just be a way to get out of the house with my son. I was amazed at the amount of information that I had forgotten. So happy to be back! There is nothing better than being in a room where you can say anything or cry and know that you will be supported.
I think that these classes have made me a better mother. Thank you for continuing to provide a supportive place for moms. We all need it and deserve it. :) "

"I know that when I refer my patients to A Mother's Haven, they will be provided a wealth of resources and support that complement my medical management. Their classes are engaging and up-to-date and their referrals are reliable. The store is chock full of all the stuff you might need and stuff that you just plain want. Most of all, A Mother's Haven succeeds in providing new families with a sense of community."
